Those Patriots are anyways useless against the new generation missiles, with dwindling stocks of interceptors and keeping any troops there just increases the scope for target practice for the Iranians. All Middle Eastern countries will eventually throw the Yanks out, if they want to stop further strikes on their soil. Anyway the US is on a losing wicket - they have already lost something, that is irreplaceable - prestige. In the Arab world, this is just the beginning of the end, for the Yanks. The biggest blunder by Trump was in making stupid assumptions about the Iranians being like Venezuela. This war has lost not just military 'presence' in the Middle East, but is likely to see the end of the petro-dollar.
